Maple Village WI

Younger, fun branch of the WI in Surbiton

Welcome to Maple Village WI

We meet on the 4th Monday of the month at 8pm in various venues in Surbiton.

Most of our meetings this year will be in the newly-refurbished Copper Kettle on Brighton Road. Sometimes, we need a bit more space so make sure you check the events listings for up to date venue information.

Wanting to join our WI?

Take a look at our events list below for a taster of what we get up to! If you are interested in joining us please email us at maplevillagewi@gmail.com or request to Sign Up. You can come along to a meeting and try us out as a guest for £5. If you then decide to join us, once you have paid your membership fee of £37.50 for 2016, you can then join any of our sub groups or events.

NEXT MEETING: 22 February

Meeting 22nd February - 8pm - Family History & Genealogy

We will be joined by Alex Beard from Kingston Museum's new family and local history resource, Kingston History Centre, to hear about the resources they have to help you explore your own family tree.

A couple of our own members will be on hand to talk about their own experiences of investigating their ancestry - if you have any questions, they may be able to offer some tips!

Plus check out a few examples of crafty projects you can make to display your hard work.

If you haven't already done so, please bring your subs of £37.50 to secure your membership for 2016.
