Summer 'Come Dine'
Saturday 30th June has been put onto the WI calendar as the date for a summer 'Come Dine' fundraising event. Those who attended as guests and hosted at this event in November had a great time and really enoyed the opportunity of getting to know other members in a small group. For the benefit of new members, the event is a travelling supper. I need some members to agree to be hosts and they cook a 3 course meal. Other members then buy a ticket for £20 and they get a 3 course meal. The twist is that guests move to a different host for each course. Guests are mixed up for each course so you get to meet as many different people as possible. All money raised from the sale of tickets will be donated to Hillcroft, our chosen charity for this year: http://www.hillcroft.ac.uk/
So I really need people to volunteer to be hosts - you will need to be in short travelling distance of Surbiton town centre so that guests can travel quickly between courses. As the weather should be good (!) you could dine outside. And of course there is no point having hosts if there are no guests to entertain!
